Ahem. Okay, this is awkward. Hi! [She waggles her fingers at the camera.] Starbuck here. You may have heard me ranting on about Cylons a few days ago. Decking a few orderlies in the process. Not proud about that. Anyway...

[Have a sheepish grin and shrug of her shoulders.]

It's been been cleared up. I've had it explained to me that we may have a converging universes or realities situation here - whatever the frak that means - which, uh, well, I guess what I'm trying to say is that I won't be going around waving my gun in people's faces for the foreseeable future.

[She goes to take a swig of her drink but then remembers to add:]

Unless you royally piss me off - which, you know, can happen on occasion - and then all bets are off. Although, it should be duly noted that I'm also a huge fan of duking it out or playing a game of Triad where the winner takes all to settle disputes.

So, uh, that's it. Everything's peachy.

[There's a brittleness to her smile, though, which may hint at the opposite.]

So when you say transdimensional travel for the alien ship, you not just talking about faster than light travel, folding space or some kind of hyperspace, right? Is time travel even possible? Some other guy says his captain's from a different time period. Makes sense, I guess.

Of course, not all of us came from the alien ship. So how does that even work?

You know, we should call it something other than 'the alien ship'. It's just so boring.

It's a ship. It's alien. Calling it the alien ship is perfectly serviceable.

By transdimensional, I mean alternate universes, divergent timelines. With sufficiently advanced technology, it's entirely possible.

And there are any number of possible explanations for how even those not from the ship might be part of this cross-universal mess. There may be an interdimensional portal near the planet. The alien ship might be creating a subtle reality warping effect. But without evidence I can only speculate.

But it's a description, not a name. There's a difference. It'd be like me calling you 'the guy who talks with too many words that have too many syllables'.

Come on, all ships have names. And so, in the great tradition of ship-naming, I hereby dub this one...

[She squints, holding up her drink as if that will make the whole thing more ceremonial and official.]

[She looks pleased with herself and takes a sip of her drink.]

What's wrong with it? It's easy to remember, it's cute and it's even semi-clever, since there are like what? Thousands of berths or pods in it?

[She takes a musing sip.]

Hmmm. Maybe it should be Big Bertha.

Or we could simply call it what it is.

Relax. It's just a name. Do you drink?

Hydration being necessary for mammal survival...yes, I drink. But if you're asking if I drink alcohol, no, not usually.

I think it's gonna be her new hobby to troll Narvin.

I'm in stand down mode. Off duty. When I'm on duty? Sober as a nun. I swear. Sharp as a tack. Have to be when I'm flying. A split second wrong decision and I'm getting scraped off the flight deck or showering everyone with space ash.
