[ Akito hadn't been expecting to be hooked by Jack's staff, and so it catches him off guard; the momentum of his leap combined with the abrupt stop causes his necklace to fly out of his shirt. He grabs it on reflex, and shoots Jack as disgruntled a look as he can manage. ]

I wanted to see if an atmospheric shield would work!
