That's bad enough, but we have this plant shop and he was really the one who knew anything about how to actually run it. I'm decent at growing plants, but I've only been selling them for a few weeks now. I could... really use some help. I don't think I can run it just on my own.

There you are, then. I haven't any particular skill with plants. They all look rather the same to me. But yes, we ought to trade spells a bit.

Oh, they`re all very different actually! There are books upon books on how to tell the difference.

So I've been told, but Amora's never been able to get much of it into my head. And then I get assigned extra spell theory reading.

I guess everyone has their own talents. Herbology's the one I've always had a real knack for.

I don't have enough of a grasp on the schools of magic to say for sure what my strengths are.

[Though apparently his future self indulges heavily in illusions, something he's always been interested in, but guiltily. It's considered frivolous.]

Do you not get graded in your lessons?

I'll only get regular assessment from master sorcerers once I've finished my basic apprenticeship. For the time being I mostly work under my tutor and work in the temple library.

Must be nice. We have assignments and exams and essays all the time.

Well, one is expected to show off when they visit, and it can certainly have an effect on future prospects. But I have noticed humans are rather in a hurry to get results. [And living such short lives, he doesn't blame them.]

From what Hermione's said, the Muggle schools do the same thing for their lessons.

Sounds like my theory was correct, then. Human thing. Though now that I think on it, it probably helps that mother arranged one of the best journeyman sorcerers in the kingdom to tutor me. And being royalty. I might get away with fewer examinations than most apprentices.
