[Kurt looks tired, harried, and jumpy, and that's despite the fact that fur, pupil-less eyes, and a slightly inhuman bone structure tend to make him hard to read when he wants to be.]

So, um, Todd's missing. Well, not missing. I went to look und he's in his pod, so it's not a mystery. Just, you know, gone now.

[Same as everybody, it's starting to feel like.]

So people know. Und also, um, I have Thing. So there's that. No unaccounted for monster running around or anything. He doesn't like me as much as Tolansky, but he's not being that bad or anything.

[He pauses, biting his lip for a moment.]

Seems like it's podding season on mutants. So, well, if somebody doesn't see me for a day or two, maybe check? Plus, uh, Wanda? Molly? You still here? Anybody?

Oh, uh, there were, but while we were all... disappeared into the future und stuff, Thing Two ran away. She was kind of the mean one, anyway.

[He doesn't mind only having to watch out for one of them.]

[Mulan kind of liked the Things, though. And she's not happy to hear one of them ran off with no one to look after it.]

Oh. I'm sorry to hear that, anyway. I didn't end up in that timeline, so I have no idea what it was like - I hope she managed all right.

Oh, um, I mean she ran away here, but... Here in the new time, not the time we were in before. She didn't come with us.

[It's very confusing, and Kurt's habit of simplifying everything for amusement's sake works against him here.]

And no one tried to go after her? Not even her owner?

It was while we all weren't here, when the ship put us in different times. I'm sure Todd would have tried.

[He looks a bit defensive. Todd loves his weird little pets. Big pets. Whatever.]

I know. If he does come back, he probably isn't going to be very happy.

He knows about that. We've only had the big one since we got back from the whole time-space adventure. Still, ja, poor little guy.

[Hey, if Todd's not awake to hear it, he doesn't have to worry about starting fights.]

[You've already been painted as a bad Thing-keeper in her mind, Kurt, sorry. But she's not here to pick a fight. At least not today.]

Well...sometimes I would bring food for them, if I had any extra kills. I hadn't heard from Todd in awhile; at least now I know why. But would you still like me to bring meat, if I can?

Sure, that'd be great. Annoying the butchers for scraps is helpful, but...

[His bartering skills really aren't anything to speak of.]

Plus, for a country kid, I'm pretty squeamish...

[He can handle fishing. Anything else is a potential friend if he can still recognize what animal it used to be.]

Just let me know where I can meet you at, in the future. I'll send word first the next time I have anything.

Well, as long as it's not, like, a whole dinosaur, I can always come to you und port things back. Or, just, you know, if you need anything heavy moved around, period.
