[Video] Backdated: Saturday late morning
[The background of this video shows forest somewhere, and the bits of which that are viewable show some damage to the tree branches and a little scorching to a couple bushes.
The foreground shows a very frustrated and impatient-looking Mr. Gold.]
I require transportation. And I require it quickly. I can, of course, pay handsomely.
[Because somebody's ability to teleport seems to have been curtailed rather sharply, because his mun is mean to him.]

[Rude :|]
Do you want help or not?
[The derision is gone, but now there's just impatience. He wants to be gone, okay.]
What is it that you do, and how quickly can you do it?
[As for how quick? Well, it takes perhaps a little less than a minute for him to fly in to where Rumple is.]
I'm Jack Frost, and you are?
[Rumple eyes Jack for a beat, but then shrugs and rolls right on. He's Rumplestiltskin, after all. And the method of travel sounds, intriguing, if uncomfortable.]
I go by Mister Gold. So you're willing to have the wind carry me-- and coincidentally, you-- for several hundred miles to where I need to be?
[Action]
Honest, Mister Gold. And yeah, sure, why not. Never actually checked out what's outside this place by several hundred miles. Why do you need to go that far out anyway?
no subject
Because that is where Belle is. I'm assuming you've met her.
no subject
[as long as Rumple could give him directions, though, then things would be fine.]
What's she doing that far out?
no subject
[And that's really all he'd like to say on the subject.]
I have a map, if you need it. Will this wind of yours manage us both?
no subject
[A map would be a good idea, but all he really needed was the location.]
Just show me on the map where it is. Wind should know where it is, since this is its world.
no subject
Here. If you can take me here--
[He flips the map open with a flick of his wrist and a spark of violet magic that leaves it floating in mid-air. The place he wants is marked with several notes about the local terrain and the people Belle would be traveling with.]
--before nightfall, then you can name your price. Within reason.
no subject
Sure, I can do that. Uh, no price is needed though.
[What he wanted, he doubted Rumple could give.]
I'm good. Summer is getting closer, so there's not much for me to do these days. Helping people out is hardly a bad thing to do in my spare time.
no subject
[Rumple eyed the boy briefly, then allowed,]
Though if your price is the alleviation of boredom, I suppose that isn't too difficult to manage for you. I doubt you'll have been this way before. When can we be off?
no subject
[He shrugged with a grin.]
If you wanna call it that, sure. We can go whenever you're ready.
no subject
Very well.
[He replaced the map and snapped shut his case again, picking it up.]
Now, then.
no subject
You're gonna wanna hold on, then. It'll be bumpy at first so Wind can acclimate to your weight, but then it'll smooth out.
no subject
[Rumplestiltskin takes the offered hand, holding his case and cane both close to his chest with the others. He really doesn't want to expend the magic to get around without either of them, for this.]
no subject
As he said, it was bumpy and the Wind had a little trouble keeping them together, which is why Jack tightened his grip. But soon, they were in the air and heading towards their destination with growing speed as the wind continued to pick up.]
no subject
Once things stabilized, his grip stayed strong, but he did at least dare to look around.]
no subject
He had to admit, he hadn't been keeping up with things. Perhaps it was time to ask around. He knew there had been some murders and some sort of investigation, but that was completely out of his element, so he didn't stay much on it.]
you okay?
no subject
[As if a little bumping about would actually bother the Dark One. He's just... concerned about losing his stuff. And trying to figure out just what kind of magic this even is. So he's torn between focusing all his energy into holding on, and trying to look at everything.]
How exactly are you doing this? Is it magic? Or is this Wind of yours actually sentient enough to do as you ask?
[Which, frankly, also sounds like magic.]
no subject
[Maybe not like the one back home, but the Winds here treated Jack well enough. Especially because they know what he is already.]
no subject
[He couldn't help but sound skeptical.]
Even here? This world has very little magic of its own.
no subject
no subject
[Because that's what spirit means to Rumple, okay. It means you died. It also means he is look at you with a very professional interest, because magic, his kind of magic, can't bring back the dead in any fashion.]
no subject
...what makes you think that?
