The foreground shows a very frustrated and impatient-looking Mr. Gold.]

I require transportation. And I require it quickly. I can, of course, pay handsomely.

[Because somebody's ability to teleport seems to have been curtailed rather sharply, because his mun is mean to him.]

[Holding on with just a hand felt so very unstable, especially during that bumping about, but really? Just in general! Rumplestiltskin clung on tight, not exactly out of fear-- physical things didn't frighten him, not anymore-- but he didn't really relish the idea of tumbling to the earth, either.

Once things stabilized, his grip stayed strong, but he did at least dare to look around.]

[He looked over and grinned. At least Rumple was a good sport about all this. It also made him more curious as to what he was going to be doing at their destination. What was he and Belle going to talk about?

He had to admit, he hadn't been keeping up with things. Perhaps it was time to ask around. He knew there had been some murders and some sort of investigation, but that was completely out of his element, so he didn't stay much on it.]

Of course I am.

[As if a little bumping about would actually bother the Dark One. He's just... concerned about losing his stuff. And trying to figure out just what kind of magic this even is. So he's torn between focusing all his energy into holding on, and trying to look at everything.]

How exactly are you doing this? Is it magic? Or is this Wind of yours actually sentient enough to do as you ask?

[Which, frankly, also sounds like magic.]

Of course the Wind is sentient! He's my friend.

[Maybe not like the one back home, but the Winds here treated Jack well enough. Especially because they know what he is already.]

[anuglyman]

Your friend.

[He couldn't help but sound skeptical.]

Even here? This world has very little magic of its own.

[frostedoverland]

That would be because it's not magic. I'm a nature spirit. Asking the Wind to give me a ride is simply that. Asking, no magic involved.

[anuglyman]

You died?

[Because that's what spirit means to Rumple, okay. It means you died. It also means he is look at you with a very professional interest, because magic, his kind of magic, can't bring back the dead in any fashion.]

[frostedoverland]

[Jack was not expecting that at all and didn't answer for a solid minute.]

...what makes you think that?

[anuglyman]

[Which of course makes Rumple assume he's hit a nerve, and thus is right.]

Spirits are generally dead, are they not?

[frostedoverland]

No, that would be ghosts. Spirits come in all forms, so I guess a few could be dead. But generally, they aren't.

[He's just one of the few.]

[anuglyman]

Ghosts, spirits, they are one and the same where I come from. So you did not die, then?

[Because he could swear Jack had acted like he'd hit the nail on the proverbial head, there, and he's not often wrong when it comes to reactions like that.]

[frostedoverland]

They aren't where I'm from.

[He sighs and shrugs.]

Yeah, I did. But that's not why I'm a nature spirit.

[He honestly just doesn't like thinking about it. He likes to focus on why he became a spirit. Because he'd saved his sister. Thinking about his death only reminded him that he had essentially left his sister alone and the girl probably thought it was all her fought her brother was dead and-

He shook his head to clear his thoughts.]

[Impressive, to shrug while flying. Rumple has yet to actually forget they're in the air, intrigue aside.]

Then why bother with protesting about it? It isn't as if I'm going to come across many more spirits from your world, now, am I?

[He kind wanted to ask what death was like, but that was one thing he still feared, and he wasn't sure he wanted to know the answer.]

[frostedoverland]

Because most spirits don't like being asked if they died. It's comparing them to ghosts and they don't like that.

[anuglyman]

To be honest, that isn't likely to come up again, is it? Unless there are more of you around who managed to not die before becoming a spirit.

[He goes back to looking around, despite his interest. They should be almost there... soon... he hopes?]
