[Audio] Monday, late morning
[After setting Steve Rogers on his way (or letting him stay at the apartment until he got his bearings, whatever) and collecting a fresh set of clothes, Lyall has some catching up to do and, first, a question for the network.]
Ah, good morning, this is Lyall. Does anyone know if something drastic changed with the ship? While I was aboard, I felt essentially human. No sense of smell or hearing, no feeling of general agelessness, nothing. Did someone reactive something on there?
[He completely bypasses the whole "I totally died" thing, for now. And, of course, he's unaware of the troubles they've been having here....]

I couldn't use my biotics until I left. I wasn't sure if it was some kind've after-effect from the pods since, ah, I haven't exactly died before.
[Typical Kaidan, he manages to sound faintly apologetic about that fact, although whether it's for dying or for lacking experience is unclear. (Probably for dying)]
[He shakes his head, still kind of parsing that bit himself since it has been such a long time since his last death, then has to ask:]
Dare I ask what happened to require you to experience dying, Alenko?
[It's been a while since they've spoken, and he's not exactly overly emotional at the moment, so for now, it's back to a last name. This may change sooner than later.]
[And on top of that, he doesn't particularly want to process it just yet. The effects of his misplaced Reave where immediate enough that his last memories are of blurred chaos and a sudden gouting release of a building pressue in his head.]
It was those bone creatures, though. Two showed up in town.
[Have a somewhat alarmed face, Kaidan. He obviously couldn't handle those things, not without a lot more preparation and backup. He can only imagine what the city fared like.]
I haven't been to Poseidon yet. Is the damage awful? How many dead?
[Because obviously... there would be a lot.]
Local casualties are around a hundred, since one of the creatures was capable of launching spines as a ranged attack. Ship folks, maybe around ten of us if we're counting you. I'm hazy on the details myself since I, ah, wasn't around to help with the aftermath. The Authorities have the market square behind barriers while they work cleanup, I know that much."
[He'll have to come have a look. Too bad the Authorities will recognize the sandy wolf who might otherwise have gotten a closer peek.]
How long have you been back?
[Kaidan looks thoughtful for a moment.]
So... the undercity isn't something I'm up on in this timeline the way I was before. Do you know much about it?
[He sounds thoughtful, though. He could use a new project, once he's determined the best way to go about dealing with the monsters.]
Perhaps I should do something about that. I did have a rather extensive tour of the tunnels beneath the city, last time. It seems only fitting to have another look, this time.
...I should talk with Leah and Sybil about this. Sounds like something that could benefit from manpower beyond just a couple of us, if they aren't already on it.
[Because lord knows he needs more things to keep him busy.]
[Ugh. That sounds just a bit terrible, doesn't it?]
Plus, I need a new job, one actually in Poseidon. But after that.
[He's missed hanging out, Kaidan, so the offer is most definitely going to be accepted, what did you expect?]
[Audio]
[Audio]
But you are quite right, it is entirely possible that the two are connected.

[He does hate to be without his sense of smell. Even if it has so recently failed him....]

[That was the Oracle who posted that message, but he'd been fairly sure that wasn't her speaking, all in all. The Oracle doesn't talk like that.]
Re: [Audio]
I didn't recognize her voice. Has she been here for a long time?

But the that venerable woman calling herself a construct likely is not related to those, in particular. I do wonder what she meant... perhaps I should see if she would speak with me. I have attempted to parse her sayings in the past with some success.
