[The camera opens to Sharon awkwardly looking into it, clearly not 100% certain it's on for the first second. The alien tech is taking some getting used to, but after a moment the confusion seems to clear up and she nods, clears her throat, and smiles.]

Right, now that this thing is working.

First, introductions for people I haven't met yet. My name is Lieutenant Sharon Agathon, and I crashlanded here a few weeks ago. I've been trying to repair my ship, and I'd like to request some help with it.

Basically, it's too far out for me to get to quickly, and after my first encounter with one of those bone...things...I'd rather not risk staying out there to fix it overnight. Which, of course, makes it really hard to get much done.

If anyone would be willing to help me haul it nearer to Poseidon, I'd be in your debt.

Artoo picks up Threepio's comlink with his manipulator arm (while the protocol droid's in the other room) and switches on the video to reply.

"Vwoop woop! Doo too woo too too boowoop!"

"I'm afraid I don't speak whatever it is you're speaking. Could you send that text?"

Because seriously...

Artoo makes some adjustments. The communicator translates Binary into a common tongue as much as possible as he beeps and whistles at you.

She remembers that much at least. Threepio had made an impression, and the astromech had been right there with him.

"Good, I'd be happy to have your help. Particularly once I get the ship back to a safer location."

That draws a laugh from Sharon, because hey, this little guy has a sense of humor.

"Well if he's helping then I think you should get your audio sensors ready for a little whining. It's a few kilometers away in rough terrain. Though, frankly I'm not sure what good he'd be at hauling."

Threepio can be heard from off screen.

"Artoo dee too! What are you doing with my communicator?"

The screen suddenly jerks away from Artoo before Threepio's golden face appears on screen.

"Oh, hello again, miss Sharon! A pleasure to see you again."

She can't help but smile, seeing the odd droid again.

"Hello there, C-3PO. It's good to see you again as well. I trust you found your master?"

"Indeed we have! And it is good to see you again, Miss Sharon. I do hope Artoo wasn't bothering you via the communicator."

"Of course not," she grins, "He just volunteered you both to help me with a project of mine."

You know you already have my offer of time and services. I'll see what I can do about finding others to help out, as well.

Appreciated, Mulan. Really, this is a big favor to me.

Well you did something for me. And anyway, the ship is clearly important to you. It'll be easier to take care of once you're closer to the rest of town anyhow.

It's the last piece of home I have right now. I'm just hoping I can get it working enough to jump out of here.

[It really is about the only hope she actually has of getting home. Given that she didn't arrive on the ship.]

I don't even need to break atmo to get out if I can get the FTL drives online.

No...offense intended. Just, not so common where I'm from.

I gathered. [She's smiling, mildly amused. No offense, indeed.] My world is evidently a bit...behind, compared to many others represented here. I have gotten used to it.

Fair enough! It's just such a mishmash of times and places here, it takes me off guard too. I'd never met an actual alien before I came here, they were just science fiction. So I have at least a guess what it's like.

A lot of us do seem to be things directly out of each other's stories.

I'm almost tempted to wonder if it was on purpose.

I can give you a hand. I'm curious to see what you have under the hood.

I'd appreciate it, Mr. Stark. As for what's under the hood, I'd be happy to show you anything that's not classified. So, everything short of the weapons systems.

I'm more interested in the propulsion system. Particularly since everything functional around here's sub-orbital.

[This may not be entirely true - but classified weaponry is, at least, something he understands.]

If you can help me get it to town, I'll definitely let you have a look at that. I can probably even give you some schematics, since I'll probably have to refit half the frakking thing anyway.

I might be able to give you a hand with the refit, too.

[There's a brief pause before he adds, a little wryly:] As long as Salvation doesn't catch fire again.

That'd be great. Maybe it'll give you some ideas on how to update that armor, too.

Hey, give me a break. It's a few model years old. More, if you count the wear and tear of fighting off an alien invasion.

[He sounds more amused than offended - the presence of people from centuries in his future has necessitated working through some of his tech envy already.]

It is what it is. Though, I guess you'd be the guy to ask. Are there any vehicles around that could be used to haul it? Or, I guess beasts of burden?

There are some heavy duty transport vehicles around. I can make some arrangements. Do you have workspace staked out already?

Yeah, just outside town. That'd be really appreciated, if you can arrange it.
