[ Pause. There's shuffling as he puts on his shirt. ]

Nah, ain't at the ship. Don't know where it's at. Done lost it. Woke up in one of them weird box things like we'd found that crazy girl in, 'cept they ain't the same.

No, not an Alliance ship. We're far enough away that they shouldn't be a concern. This is a rescue vessel.

Yes, it's broken. It crashed, and then just sat here for . . . a while. Some of the others are working on getting it running again.

We don't know. They've got Kaylee working with them, but no one's seen technology like this before. It could be a long time.
