One's wedding day was supposed to be one of joy, even given the situation she and Anakin were in, and yet, she has no recollection of anything after their kiss. Waking up, her mind had turned over a variety of thoughts, from who and why and where. Yet, despite everything, her person was not harmed.

It is not the first time when life has tossed an obstacle in her path, and yet, she would have to admit that so far, this experience has been a first over all.]

[Her eyes are kind and hers is a soft voice, yet not weak. No, there is a strength behind it, and her expression, while not trusting, does hold an inquisitive air to it. Articulating herself is something that she has always been good at.]

Greetings to those who may hear this, whether fellow travelers caught in the same situation as myself, for I cannot assume I am the only one, or the inhabitants of this world. My name is Senator Padmé Amidala of Naboo.

[Information was always key, and so she progresses. She needs to understand better the situation she has found herself in.]

I fear neither the ship or the location are familiar to me as I know this is not one of the worlds I have visited. And so, I ask where I might find information about this planet, and perhaps to whom I should be addressing my disappointment as to the course of action that has been taken.

[The last time Luke got too excited about seeing his mother here she ended up not being his mother, and, even worse, she was Thor's girlfriend. That was awkward. At least this time he knows for sure who she is before contacting her and he can barely contain his emotions. He hasn't seen his mother in over a year. So much has happened.

Luke's struggling to keep his voice steady.]

[He realizes that he should also be careful about telling her too much right away, in case this is isn't the incarnation that has met him before. It wouldn't be the first time.]

[There is a certain amount of familiarity to use her name so, yet Padmé can't say that she recalls meeting a Luke before. Then again, while she does try to connect with those around her, she knows that for every person she does spend time with, there is another she doesn't.

Still, there is something... Her eyes linger, as she speaks.]

I'm sorry, Luke, I don't. [With a small shake of her head. If they have met, she cannot place it.]

I don't, no. [And a pause, before continuing. She has always been a strong advocate of peace, and while she is not naive, she does like to assume the best of people.] But I also have no reason not too either. I am still in the vicinity of the ship.

[There might be a mild hint of disappointment when Padmé confesses that she doesn't recognize Luke, but he's able to hide it for the most part. He tries to remain passive.]

I'm a law officer here in town. I know you're in an unfamiliar place, you don't know why you're here, and you still don't have a reason to trust me, but this happens a lot. In fact, I came here the same way you did.

If it's alright with you, I'll come out to the ship and escort you back to town where it's safer. I'll explain everything on the way.

[Which she may register, although she has no context for it, no reason to think beyond that flicker of emotion from him. She had noted dwellings, although she had not ventured too far out. No, she had thought perhaps... But if her husband were here, she has no sign of him.]

I would not decline the offer. [Whether he speaks the truth or not, she cannot say, but there is something that reads as genuine about him, something familiar.] Indeed, I would welcome it, so long as you truly do not mind me picking your brain.
