This fog is really quite pervasive, isn't it? Seems as though it's been here forever. In your lungs every time you breathe. Hulking and lingering and always there, even if you don't think about it. Off there in the distance, worrying everyone, as it's where we've come from, and that makes it quite important. I'm fairly sure its name is Salvation. Isn't that interesting? I wonder what it's Salvation from.
Speaking of, we could probably use some salvation from the fog. How long has it been here? I've forgotten. It's very hard to hold onto details in the fog, and it's very hard to hold onto sights. It's like all the buildings have grown farther apart.
Where is everyone? Have you noticed there's an awful lot of fog?

Anyhow, people's minds don't really work that way. They might think oh, I'd really like them to say this but then you say it and they find their emotional reaction isn't what they were expecting. Like, they may be unnerved or disappointed.
It's much more subtle trying to find out what a person really wants.
