[She's seeing too many new faces and missing too many old ones. Something tells her she should start from the top.]

This is Commander Shepard of the Normandy SR2.

[But enough of the meet-and-greet.]

I need a couple of favors.

I need food and water, I need a sitrep, I need a runner who wouldn't mind spending a few hours on the ship, and-...

[One sec, she's switching to video, and aiming it at what appears to be a moderate-sized triceratops, enclosed in a rather large blue dome (no, not the same kind of dome as the one on the horizon, keep your pants on).]

I need to know what the hell this thing eats. Bonus points if you'll supply it.

[The video turns off, and there's a pause. Does she need anything else? Nothing's coming to mind, so:]

I can pay you in weapons and ammo, or we can figure out something else.

[Another pause--she's done with that. Then, as a brief afternote:]

Kaidan, Liara, are you busy?

[But he seems determined, and she doesn't want to fuck around with trying to discourage him, so:] Once you do get here, you're gonna sit down and rest. Sound a fair deal? [It's not an order, as shown by the option to argue, but it's a very strong suggestion.]

[He gives her a look which looks suspiciously like a pout before, quite reluctantly, he nods.] Yes, yes, all right.

[An order he would have argued with on principle, but she's being so very sensible about it.]
