This is Commander Shepard of the Normandy SR2.

I need a couple of favors.

I need food and water, I need a sitrep, I need a runner who wouldn't mind spending a few hours on the ship, and-...

[One sec, she's switching to video, and aiming it at what appears to be a moderate-sized triceratops, enclosed in a rather large blue dome (no, not the same kind of dome as the one on the horizon, keep your pants on).]

I need to know what the hell this thing eats. Bonus points if you'll supply it.

[The video turns off, and there's a pause. Does she need anything else? Nothing's coming to mind, so:]

I can pay you in weapons and ammo, or we can figure out something else.

[Another pause--she's done with that. Then, as a brief afternote:]

Kaidan, Liara, are you busy?

[She arches an eyebrow at that, but her tone doesn't change.]

None taken. I'll keep using them to locate the wounded, however, if it's all the same to you.

By all means. [No complaints here. Locating is a lot more surface-level, and Shepard's not about to object to something that might save a few lives.] Let me know if you need any help. I might not be too mobile, but the rest of my squad is.

I've been directing people, more than anything. [And yes, there's a bit of frustration in her tone.] I'll be sure to ask if we need more hands.

...When, more than likely.

[Her voice softens.] I'm glad you found Vegeta, by the way.

Have you found anyone to navigate the ship yet?

[Shepard's a bit frustrated at this whole mess, as you might be able to tell.

Just one girl, and I don't want to waste her whole day. Are you offering?

I'm sorry. [She understands the frustration, doesn't begrudge it any.]

I would, when I'm less needed - it's certainly smoother going - but I don't know how fast I would be.
