All right, this is interesting. I seem to have found myself in a pod in a crashed ship, and frankly, that doesn't look like Earth tech. And need I add that it looks like somebody went trigger happy with the terraforming? It looks a bit desolate out there.

My name is Jane Foster, and so, um, who's out there, and what is going on?

There shouldn't be any problem in getting from the ship to the city, is there?

Not right now. A week ago there were stray dinosaurs -- long story, I'll explain later -- and a wildfire had made things hazardous, but it's pretty safe at the moment.

There are only about 1500 people here, rough estimate, so the streets are safe through being deserted. Pick your favourite post-apocalyptic city setting and you've pretty much got it.

Somebody else told me about the dinosaurs. Hudson, I think? So as long as there aren't stragglers, I should be fine. I have directions, so I should be able to find the place.
