010 ⌥ VOICE [backdated to wednesday, i'm so sorry]
[This is posted from Kaidan's communicator, not that she makes it obvious. Hers is still somewhere in the dome. She has yet to requisition a new one.]
I'm alive.
[And she has answers. But she's not sure how much to say on the network. How much the Authorities don't already know she knows. So she'll tell them how to find her, and hope they think to ask their questions in person instead.]
Hospital, south wing, and if Alenko's got any say in it, I'll be here for a while longer.
Telepaths, psychics, or whatever the hell you want to call the people that crawl into your head... You're going to want to see this. [Yes, that is a free pass into her skull. No, don't get used to it.]

[voice]
[Then he pauses again. Uh-oh. It seems he might be thinking of something - in particular, thinking of just how to phrase this without drawing a lot of attention.]
The Hospital, is it? Yes, the staff there does very good work.
If you'd like, though...
...I can probably get you out for some fresh air a little sooner. Ask the Major to vouch for me.
[Smooth.]
[voice]
[Yes, she does sound irritated. At least that fades a bit when she speaks again.]
If you can get me out sooner, by all means.

hers is perma-voice--there's no way she's typing, the way her hands are
no subject
[...that's one big understatement. She would really like to lie down for about a billion years sometime soon.]
Video
Are you certain?

I'm on my way.

[Action?]
Action!
The hospital itself has become intimately familiar, and it's not long before she's approaching Shepard's room.
She's amused at the locked door, but not particularly surprised. She receives strict orders not to aid any escape attempts.]
Commander Shepard?
Action!
[At the greeting, her pacing slows to a stop, and she turns to face the telepath. Shepard can't help it--she's looking the woman over, for injuries or bruises or any signs of damage. Because the raid got the better of all too many people.
Eventually, she settles on asking.]
How are you?
Action!
I'm doing well enough.
[She's still wearing that gun, strapped to her thigh.]
How are you holding up in here?

South wing, hmm?
[There's some shuffling, and several indignant beeps.]
Oh, do be quiet.
Voice
Are you really?
[She sounds both surprised and a little proud--he's not the 'sneaking out' sort, at least that's what she thought.]

Instead, she's back to pacing and waiting for Five to burst (or sidle, most likely) through the otherwise-locked door.]
More Action
When he arrives at Shepard's door, he rummages in his pockets for several moments before retrieving a lock pick. He's been called primitive more than once, but it gets the job done.
He can't help but grin when the door clicks open, and he does, indeed, sidle on through.]
Hello, Commander.

So the nearest attendant unlocks the door for him, and he knocks politely. Even offers a slightly sheepish smile when he's let in.]
Good evening, Commander Shepard.

Lyall.
[A casual enough greeting, at least.]
no subject
Good evening, Commander. I hope I'm not disturbing you.

The way he repeats his greeting, she gets the distinct impression that he's trying to smooth over any frustration she might otherwise direct his way, so she'll bite.]
You're not. By now, it's called 'a change of scenery'. [There's a note of dry humor her tone, present but barely perceptible.]

I imagine it is a tag monotonous in here. Has no one brought you a book or some paperwork you can look through, in here?
[Even he knows to do that much. Then again, he's had Lady Maccon laid up in Woolsey Castle, before, and he knows just how likely a lady of action is to get restless within, oh, an hour or two.]
