The light shifts on Daniel's face, and the reason is clear when he turns the communicator to show a low, steady fire, with a pot held above it by a rough but sturdy cooking crane. Some half-chopped tubers and wild onions can be seen on a flat stone nearby.]

Hey. I can't eat all this. Anybody who wants some, feel free to drop by. I'm over here, [brief directions on how to get where he is from the City or the ship.] Follow the smoke or call me back if you have any trouble finding me.
