My name is Sebastian Vael. I am a Brother in Faith at the Chantry. If you know not know what it is, that is ... fine, for the message I have is not one of the Maker but one of my own ... concern.

I wonder if memories are fluid when we arrive to this world. Can they change and alter as greatly as the tides do? I ask this for there are ... discrepancies between myself and another who is from my world, who I know. I must know if this is a common occurrence... and if it is... what can be done to return my memories to what they should be.

... I will accept that burden, regardless of what it will mean. To live in a lie, though a happy one, is unacceptable and the work of demons, at best.

But one thing you'll learn about this place is, you'd do good to swallow your philosophical quest so you aren't too distracted to duck when the enemy tries to put a bullet in your head.

This is not about a philosophical quest. What makes our memories are what makes ourselves, our being, our purpose. To merely care about what enemy is about and to duck as you say is fine, but this is something that affects the reality which we base ourselves upon. The decisions we made... did we make them or not. It may seem philosophical but truly, it is finding out what is real and how to return the reality of what we know back if it is false.

If you care not for these things, then I shall seek those that do.

Yet, not enough to do anything about it, and so I find it hard to pay attention to words with no backing. A friend of yours is dead for three years in your world yet you focus sorely on surviving in the now. This becomes a game of simply reacting rather than responding the real issue at hand.

We may indeed be away from our homes, may indeed be from different worlds, or we may all come from the same world... and something is preventing us from knowing this simple fact. That who we believe are strangers, could actually be friends... family.

I shall keep that in mind.

The second anyone has some kind of answers, they and I are having a talk. 'Til then, I work on defense, and making sure the next raid doesn't catch us even half as off-guard. Once you've got this out of your system, I strongly suggest that you do the same thing.

True enough, but how does anyone know without the knowledge of the past and those interactions?

I cannot know if I will be that person or not, but this is not something to "get out of my system." This is something that must be pursued regardless of where it may lead.
