-- know not how this device operates or what means that it broadcasts information... though, I have heard voices come through. I can only pray that this message is heard and whatever means I had to relay it has come to the ears of those that may help me.

My name is Sebastian Vael. I am a Brother in Faith at the Chantry. If you know not know what it is, that is ... fine, for the message I have is not one of the Maker but one of my own ... concern.

I wonder if memories are fluid when we arrive to this world. Can they change and alter as greatly as the tides do? I ask this for there are ... discrepancies between myself and another who is from my world, who I know. I must know if this is a common occurrence... and if it is... what can be done to return my memories to what they should be.

... I will accept that burden, regardless of what it will mean. To live in a lie, though a happy one, is unacceptable and the work of demons, at best.

I had heard that it was destroyed, but... I cannot imagine such a horror taking place. It has not. I would have been there, and since it is no memory of mine, I cannot say that it has happened or will.. yet I know the one who spoke it would not speak it to bring me torment.

Maybe they lied for some other reason. Do you trust who told you?

Of course, I do.

She is the Knight-Commander of my world. What that means is that she is charged with protecting the city which I lived with my friends and love from heretics and apostates. They do not give those titles to any and all. That speaks greatly on the caliber of her character, I think.

So what did she say about this destruction? Just that it was gone?

And lives were lost. One of the most faithful... and done by the hands of a mage.

Did she say why? I doubt this mage did it for no reason.

I heard not the reason why, but regardless, I cannot accept the sacrifice for any reason. Still, it did not happen in my memories so despite my ... I need to know if it did or did not for me. That will decide what should happen next.

And what if it did? What could you possibly do about it? Seek revenge?

I shall think on what when the time comes. To let my thoughts get poisoned now would hardly be helpful in my search.

Maybe that time will be sooner than you think
