[He wakes in the pod confused and disoriented. He fell asleep in his cabin on the Andromeda, and the next thing he knows he's in a dark, alien ship. It isn't the first time he's been kidnapped, but the complete lack of guards is perplexing, as is the fact that he still has his weapon. He quickly finds the exit and explores around the ship. There's clear signs of a recent fight. That doesn't bode well, but he can't wander out here alone forever. He decides to try to make contact with whoever brought him to this place.]

I’m Captain Dylan Hunt of the Commonwealth System starship Andromeda Ascendant. Whoever's in charge here, I mean you no harm. I’d just like to talk, find out where I am and how I got here. [And, if he's lucky, how to get back to where he came from. He has a crew to protect and a Commonwealth to re-found.]

[Wing has had better days. He's collared and much much worse for wear: his white armor is splotched with char from missile strikes. But still, he's trying. All the more reason now for them to unite.]

We're trying to figure that out, Captain Dylan Hunt. But I'm afraid at the moment we might have larger problems.

[That...is one big robot. It's like if one of Andromeda's outer hull defense drones started talking to him. But the instant Wing speaks it's obvious that he isn't a mere drone. The AIs Dylan is used to usually look more human, but it's clear that Wing is a sentient.]

I heard. The attack from the dome. Has anyone started organizing a defense strategy in case they attack again?

Not that I know of. But I've been...a bit indisposed.

You're injured. [It's half-statement, half-question.]

I'm afraid I don't have my engineer with me. [Harper would have had a field day fixing up this guy.] But if there's anything I can do to help, I will.

Yes. From the attack on the ship.

[He nods.] I would appreciate any help you can give. I can't fly like this and until I can...I am less effective.

[But that's beside the point.]

Are you well? I've heard the ship's systems are unstable.

I made it through all in one piece. Better than the people involved in the battle, from the looks of it. I'm sorry I wasn't here to help then. [He doesn't think that one person would have turned the tide one way or another, but he still feels guilty that people were hurt and he was nearby and unable to prevent it.]

What do you need? The High Guard is ready to assist. [He smiles self-deprecatingly.] All one of me.

"No apology." Wing smiles, "I'm glad that we preserved the ship well enough for you to awaken. We need all the assistance we can get." The smile fades. "Because they will be back."

"We need to get the ship stabilized. Power grid, life support. It needs to be habitable. Many have moved to the Old City, but that doesn't consider those in the pods. They need protection. Or at least a chance."

A wry shrug. "I am the only of the Knights, here, as well."

Dylan hates to leave a man down, even if that man is an AI, but from the sounds of things Dylan might be of more help elsewhere. Stabilizing the ship so the people in the remaining pods and seeing to the protection of the survivors. Still, he wishes he could do more.

"Do you know if there are any engineers around? Anyone who could help you with your repairs?"

"None that I know of. Not that my systems would be familiar to them." A shrug. "I have autorepair, but it will be slow."

It's a fine line he's trying to draw: it's not the newcomer's fault or problem, his injuries, after all. He is alive, while those in the pods may soon not be.

"Stabilizing the ship may be the greater priority. It must hold clues as to why we were chosen."

Dylan has to make a choice. It sounds like the AI's condition isn't critical, however, whereas the situation with the ship might soon be.

"Repairs to the ship come first then." He closes his eyes in a moment of regret.

"I'm sorry. If I can help after the ship's been stabilized, I will."

"Yes. The ship is more important. It is hope, for all of us."

No regrets, Dylan Hunt. It's the same decision Wing would have made.

"And I shall do my best to at least serve as lookout."

If he's a large, attractive target to the Authorities, he might as well use that to their advantage.
