[He wakes in the pod confused and disoriented. He fell asleep in his cabin on the Andromeda, and the next thing he knows he's in a dark, alien ship. It isn't the first time he's been kidnapped, but the complete lack of guards is perplexing, as is the fact that he still has his weapon. He quickly finds the exit and explores around the ship. There's clear signs of a recent fight. That doesn't bode well, but he can't wander out here alone forever. He decides to try to make contact with whoever brought him to this place.]
I’m Captain Dylan Hunt of the Commonwealth System starship Andromeda Ascendant. Whoever's in charge here, I mean you no harm. I’d just like to talk, find out where I am and how I got here. [And, if he's lucky, how to get back to where he came from. He has a crew to protect and a Commonwealth to re-found.]

Captain. I'm currently in the local settlement, but I can come and get you.
[Serious stern puppy, but happy puppy Nietzschean.]

Boy, is it good to see a familiar face. Do you know who brought us here or what they want?
no subject
[None the wiser for the moment. Just seems like Dylan to him.]
But the residents of the dome aren't responsible, they only regard us as a threat. The ship seems to have been here for a considerable period of time, and whoever operated the ship is the culprit. Though they may be long dead, and I don't know that anyone here has the technological capacity to access the ship's systems yet.

I see it. They attacked the natives? Their own people? [Dylan frowns. He doesn't like societies that show such a lack of concern for the welfare of their own.]
How far away is the settlement?
[...And Dylan notices that Telemachus' uniform...isn't the right uniform. That's the uniform of a High Guard Commander, not a Home Guard Admiral. He feels a sinking dread in the pit of his stomach, although he can't articulate why yet. His intuition has picked up on what logic insists is impossible.]

They attacked the ship. They didn't care who was in the area. And they were especially hostile towards anyone that wanted into the dome.
You should be able to see it. There's a bombed out hotel the majority of people have been staying in, though some have remained aboard the ship. Life support systems are still non-functional, as far as I've been informed.
[He's getting up to go outside to wait on Dylan. He misses their subvocal communicators working, that would make this easier. He even almost reaches up to touch his neck and barely manages not to.]

OOC

Unfortunately, I'm quite certain they mean you harm.
That happens to me a lot.
Are you one of the locals?

We're trying to figure that out, Captain Dylan Hunt. But I'm afraid at the moment we might have larger problems.
I heard. The attack from the dome. Has anyone started organizing a defense strategy in case they attack again?

I'm afraid I don't have my engineer with me. [Harper would have had a field day fixing up this guy.] But if there's anything I can do to help, I will.
[He nods.] I would appreciate any help you can give. I can't fly like this and until I can...I am less effective.
[But that's beside the point.]
Are you well? I've heard the ship's systems are unstable.
What do you need? The High Guard is ready to assist. [He smiles self-deprecatingly.] All one of me.
"We need to get the ship stabilized. Power grid, life support. It needs to be habitable. Many have moved to the Old City, but that doesn't consider those in the pods. They need protection. Or at least a chance."
A wry shrug. "I am the only of the Knights, here, as well."
"Do you know if there are any engineers around? Anyone who could help you with your repairs?"
It's a fine line he's trying to draw: it's not the newcomer's fault or problem, his injuries, after all. He is alive, while those in the pods may soon not be.
"Stabilizing the ship may be the greater priority. It must hold clues as to why we were chosen."
"Repairs to the ship come first then." He closes his eyes in a moment of regret.
"I'm sorry. If I can help after the ship's been stabilized, I will."
No regrets, Dylan Hunt. It's the same decision Wing would have made.
"And I shall do my best to at least serve as lookout."
If he's a large, attractive target to the Authorities, he might as well use that to their advantage.

And the authorities don't talk, Captain. They just shoot.
no subject
Has anyone organized a defense strategy since the first attack? I doubt they're going to just give up and leave us alone.

Speaking of shooting, though--tell me they at least dragged you in armed. [Because the more people have their own guns, the less people eye hers.]

I'll see what I can do about pulling together some sort of military brainpool, and I'll get in touch.

We'll talk later, then. Captain Hunt out.
