To be honest, my experience with giant robot things hasn't been too great, either. But those were man-made.

Us? We were just born different. So we scare them. It's sad, really, how they can't even figure out they're making things worse.

Yeah if anything the humans do definitely know how to make formidable weapons.

Magneto. He knows what he's doing, and he's one of the most powerful mutants there is. Not even counting the rest of us.

[Victory, power, supremacy. But Pietro knows damn well he can't pitch it like his father can, so he doesn't try.]

My own old leader was much the same way. His name was Megatron.

Just be careful how much faith you put into one person.

I have faith that he's going to see this through to the end, and that I do not want to be on any side that gets in his way.

That, and he's right. We need to defend ourselves before people start thinking they can just catch us and put us in cells or whatever.

[Oh. He knows better than to argue this. Mainly because he himself used to be the same way. Absolute faith. Faith through bitterness and pain. It took more than a few simple words to turn him. And he knows where to pick his battles.]

[Pietro's faith is pretty conflicted, actually. He's swallowed everything about mutants being superior, it's true, but he knows all too well that his leader isn't infallible. It makes for a shaky, painful balance.

If Magneto weren't his father, things might be quite different.]
