[Michiru only hesitates a moment before coaxing a finger over what she hopes will be the switch that turns this on to broadcast -- though broadcast to whom, she's not entirely sure. Still, they're in the dark. And they need answers, even if she's not sure how well she'll be able to trust any of the answers that come.

But there wasn't much choice.]

I'm not sure who is out there and hearing this, but we're looking for... answers. Any answers. Where is this place. Why are we here?

[All business, a plainly guarded expression on her features, blue eyes fixed steadily on the video screen.]

And how did we even get here? Who kidnapped us and who do we need to defeat to get home?

[The deeper voice comes from somewhere off screen, and a dusty blonde head looks briefly over Michiru's shoulder to frown at the screen, too. Then it's gone again, as Haruka pulls back and gets back to finishing getting her things together.]

If we were brought here, there's a way to get back where we came from. There has to be.

[Michiru's gaze flickers back only briefly towards her partner. Who do they need to defeat. It's crossed her mind too; if this is another battle they need to face to fulfill their duty, she's willing to face it.]

We'd appreciate any answers anyone has. That's all. Thank you.

You're too nice, Michiru, you should have--

[And that's all of Haruka's growled complaint that the feed gets before it shuts off.]

[She frowns a little at that.]

When did people first start awakening here? And how did we get into the pods in the first place?

The last thing I remember, it should be impossible for...

I don't know how long it's been - I've only been here a week or two myself.

Your guess is as good as mine; it should have been impossible for me to end up in one, too. Or to be awoken, anyway.

This is too strange. [She wonders at that though. Impossible to be awoken? Well now that sounds familiar.] Why is that? If you don't mind my asking.

[Tosh hesitates for a moment before she replies.] I was shot in the stomach and bled out - I remember dying.

[with_elegance]

[A pause of her own here. Michiru is the type to play things close to the vest, to save the very least. So she hesitates a moment before nodding just a bit.] I shouldn't have awoken either. For similar reasons.

Someone here told me that the pods have regenerative capacities. It's hard to believe that they could cure that much, but, well, I'm living proof that they can.

Very hard to believe. [She kind of faded straight out of existence, hadn't she? But still, she nods.]

Where are you from? [She hesitates before adding.] From what I'm hearing I think I should ask "when" as well.

Cardiff, Wales, 2009. [Her smile is a little sheepish as she explains.] My parents moved to Osaka when I was two, and we lived there for ten years. I grew up speaking English and Japanese - my grandparents had lived in England, too, during the war.

[Michiru nods a little. So, from a bit into what would be the future for her, but, still, only around a decade.]

I've never been to Wales. [England, briefly. But she smiles just a little.] So you've traveled then.

Probably not quite so far as this though. [Different planet different galaxy.]

Not too much, other than just moving back and forth, and going back to Japan to visit family a few times.

[Well, there was that one time she went to Tibet, but that was only briefly, and she nearly got killed in an avalanche...so it's not something she likes to talk about.]

Never to a different planet, though, even if I did work on top of a rift in space and time.

Well, hopping off to other planets isn't exactly common where I'm from either. Not a usual vacation at all.

[She frowns just a little.] I wish I understood what was going on. But I don't.
