[video] THURSDAY EVENING
[ Jim manages to look none the worse for wear, though if you knew him well, you'd be able to tell he's tired. That smile is totally fake - like, faker than usual - and his laid back attitude has some strain underneath the surface. ]
You know, it would be just my luck to volunteer to lead an expedition on a backwater planet with dinosaurs running around. And poisonous snakes, too. We gotta get like a bestiary going or something. Christ.
Well, anyway, looks like we're all back in one piece, though some of us required bandages and whatnot to get here.
Mission accomplished, right? And no casualties, which I think we can count as the most important parts.
Miss...Potts, right? You want a report, I got it.

May I be the first offer congratulations then, Captain. I have some sympathy for ending up at the head of a procession just after leaving the ship... and I definitely want that report. Did you secure the, um, package?
And it's just really hit me that spoken word code sounds pretty ridiculous outside of spy movies.
[Filtered Video]
Yeah, we got it.
[ He laughs. ]
I think we're pretty okay without code here, right? I mean, people are gonna know sooner or later. It wasn't that big of a secret anyway, was it?
Re: [Filtered Video]
But I'll let the traders know immediately. You and the others have just saved a lot of lives.

If you need more in the way of bandages, I'm sure we can spare some at the hospital.
[voice]
You...
You met a dinosaur that talks?
[ Jim is sure he didn't hear that right. ]
I think we're okay right now, but I'll ask Ella if she needs more. Thanks.
[text]
You're welcome. Dr. Bruce Banner, by the way, I don't think we've met before.
[voice]
[ this has to be a joke, right? Okay, so there was that giant robot, sure. But this? ]
Captain Jim Kirk. Nope, haven't met yet, but it's a pleasure.
[ he manages to sound sincere, though he's not yet convinced the doctor isn't joking about this dino thing ]
[text]
It's a pleasure to meet you as well...I've met Commander Spock and Dr. McCoy already. Commander Spock has helped me analyze the pod system on the ship and I work with Dr. McCoy at the hospital.
[voice]
[ hold up. Okay, he met Spock and Bones, but how did he know they were all connected? Did one of them say something about him? Shit. Probably nothing GOOD. ]
You met both, huh? How'd that go?
[ good thing the video isn't on, since he's practically bracing himself for the answer on this one. ]
[text]
I met Dr. McCoy more recently, at the hospital. He's been rather busy, considering how many people are getting sick, so I haven't had the chance to talk to him much aside from offering my assistance.
[voice]
Well, Bones - uh, Dr. McCoy - can be kinda hard to take but he's a great guy and a great doctor. Hope he's got some help at the hospital though.
Are you a medical doctor, or?
[text]
And I'm actually more the nuclear physics kind of doctor, with a side of biochemistry. I have some field experience as a physician, though. Not anything on his level, but enough to be useful.
