[tiptoeing]

[Bruce is sitting at the table in his house, which looks like this, and making himself a list of things he needs to do in the next few days. His glasses don't do much to hide the fact that he hasn't slept in a couple of weeks, save for a few times his body forced him to nap.]

For those who haven't met me, I'm Dr. Bruce Banner. Before the plague hit, I was working with a team of scientists to figure out how the pods functioned. Now I'd like to focus on increasing the ship's power supply, but I'm not sure who is still around to help, or if anyone else is interested.

I would also like to know if anyone would be interested in attending lectures on various topics relevant to some of the problems that we face here. Things like basic engineering, first aid, hydroponic gardening, chemical analysis, and really anything else you can think of that would be useful. The lectures would be aimed at those who haven't had much previous education in these areas.

I don't have a location or specific times planned out yet, I'm just gauging the level of interest at the moment.

[This part is delivered far more awkwardly.] I need to go away for a few days. Up in the mountains, I think, where I won't be able to hurt anyone. Company is probably a bad idea, but I thought you all should know where I'm going, at least.

That's a nice name for ship...and if ships are that common for you, you must be from my future. Manned spaceships haven't gone farther than the moon in my time. [Tony's little space excursion not included.]

There was an alien invasion before I arrived here though, so not all of this is entirely unfamiliar to me.

Oh, you're from Earth-That-Was? Lotta people seem to be. Not always with aliens though. We ain't even got those.

[tiptoeing]

[he raises an eyebrow] ...Earth-That-Was? Do I want to know what happened to it?

[wrench_and_ruffles]

[She shrugs]

Just... too many people. Had to head into space.

[tiptoeing]

Well, that's a better outcome than some of the possibilities I can imagine. [like certain aliens taking over and making slaves of everyone]

I'll definitely let Tony know there's a talented mechanic here with spaceship experience, and keep you in the loop.
