[There is a bit of some fumbling before the device is turned on. It shows a young man with silver hair tied up in a bandanna. Yes, those are beads in his hair too. He's also well equipped. With a lot of weapons.]

Hello? Is anyone there?

[Good thing some of his friends have been from worlds there were technologically advanced because Firion probably would never have figured out the device. He does turn it over a couple of times before looking back at the screen.]

My name is Firion. I was suppose to have ended up home and instead, ended up here. What world is this? Has another Cycle begun? Has the Conflict truly not ended? If that's the case, has anyone seen my friends?

There are many, but the Warrior of Light, the Onion Knight, Cecil Harvey, Bartz Klauser, Terra, Cloud Strife, Squall Leonhart, Zidane Tribal, and Tidus are their names. They were in the Conflict with me. I have friends at home as well, Maria, Leon, and Guy.

Do these names sound familiar? Please let me know! I would appreciate it very much if I could get as much information as possible about this land.

This is a very strange world, and a lot of us have been taken from where we belonged. So at least you're not alone? I'm afraid nothing you're asking sounds familiar--well, Cloud and Squall are common names among my people, but I doubt you mean Raksura.

[Though wouldn't it be nice if he did? Strife could be a name, too, though a terribly ill-omened one to set on poor a fledgeling's shoulders.]

That's common. We seem to be hard to find.

[Even with people coming from all the worlds that ever were, apparently. He's getting rather lonely.]

This place is Verdana. And the pod you woke up in? If you look around you'll see more people in more of them. We're taken from where we were somehow and brought here.

Oh, yes, I did see the pods. It was... disturbing, to say the least. But I was at least grateful that my weapons were nearby. I wish I simply knew how!

That I can't tell you. My things were waiting close by, too, which seems like a very strange way to abduct someone. But everything about it is strange.

Yes, indeed. Normally, one would take weapons, wouldn't they? And yet, mine were in a convenient location for me to find. My abduction wasn't meant to harm, I suppose. But it is still a mystery.

As far as I know, no one really understands what happened. And whoever built those pods is gone. The magic must still be active without them.

[Of course it's magic. What isn't?]

If I was able to awaken, then yes, the magic must still exist. But why has no one else awakened? Why only so few?

I think some people have had friends from home wake up here, too. I'm not one of them, but almost everyone here is a human, so that might mean something. I can only guess, and they probably aren't good guesses.
