[Video] Week 34 - Friday Evening
So about this fog...
[Hey guys, there's a redhead on your network looking magnificently scruffy. That is full Irish beard right there. Actually... that's way more than a week's growth for those of you that knew he was leaving. He's currently sprawled out on the stone floor of his cavern hideaway, holding his arm up so the video's looking down on him.]
I was hoping to make it back into town today but apparently Verdana had other ideas. [And there's a knowing smirk that comes with that because he at least has spent most of the last weeks (as far as he knows) talking to her.]
So, I don't know when I'm going to be able to get back but... [His free hand comes up to thread through his shaggy crimson curls.] Anyone out there good with a pair of scissors?
[Private to Lyall]
As soon as this damn fog clears we need to go hunting... Oberon is bored out of his mind and we both need to stretch our legs. You in?

When the video turns on, Sigyn can be seen nestled against the body of her horse, the tricky Serrure. As she had recently used powerful magics, she still retains her goddess glow, although perhaps, it could be the lightings in the stables. ]
You do not need scissors, Sir. You require a good brush and a proper stylist. [ So where is Lofn when you need her? All the time, Sigyn's sister Lofn does enjoy making little dolls out of her sisters, teasing and playing with their hair. She can work miracles! ]

Please not Norse. Please not Norse. Please not Norse. Here cabin fever went and made him do something stupid. Awesome. Better than it being because of a pretty girl at least?
Pay attention, Siodhachan. You're cockin it up again.]
I kinda like the whole... unkempt look, actually. It just means I have to trim stuff down more and I've uh... been kinda busy.
private.
[ She smiles, rolling her wrist, waving off her silliness. ] My apologies. I am Sigyn. And you?
private.
Then she offers her name and he wants nothing more than to curse his luck and hang up straight away but he can't. That would be rude... and suspicious. Neither are good ideas.]
Sigyn? Does that mean you know Thor here? [And he raises his voice slightly, mimicking an excitement he doesn't feel, hoping that will excuse him for not answering straight away. If she is from a different pantheon than the Thor here then it is certainly not safe to give her his name.]
[Audio]
Good evening. I think it's evening. I can hit wolf form, anyway, so it must be evening.
Pardon. As soon as this bloody fog clears, a hunt would be quite nice. It will be nicer when I can see straight and don't keep chasing imaginary scents. Managed to get myself mucked up lost. Very clever, I know.
[He does sound a little out of it, and rather more emotive than their last conversations.]
[Audio - private]
Lost around here is pretty damned dangerous... [There's a moment where he's eyeing Oberon, trying to gauge if it would be safe to leave him here alone.]
If you're not... entirely with it I don't know that I'll be of much help. In my owl form I could fly above it, try to lead you back into town but...
[But if the werewolf is running around chasing phantom scents then how good is he going to be at following an owl? Probably not very. And Atticus is really not too keen on seeing if his healing charm can regulate this stuff. It doesn't work on poisons or other substances so there's a good chance it won't work on this either.
[Audio - private]
There is a soft snort as Lyall invisibly waves the concern off, and then a little cough. The more toxic properties of the stuff only affect him briefly. But it still does tickle the lungs a bit.]
Thank you, but I'll make do. Werewolves are note-- notoriously difficult to off, really. And I am attempting not to charge straight at anything that might be an angry raptor or one of those sharp-toothed felines.
[He's managed not to get into many scrapes thus far, anyway.]

I know my way around a pair of scissors. Though I'm sure the villagers must have a barber somewhere.
Yeah they probably do. Hell if I remember the last time I actually paid for a haircut though. I usually do it myself but... well I've had a very eventful few months. [In all of the Asgard invading, deity slaying, and death faking he really hadn't had time to bother with something so mundane as a haircut. Now he'd been on Verdana for almost 2 months and... well he was kind of a mess.]
[Assuming he's referring to whatever has him coming back to the city is totally logical, honest.]

I can move the fog out of the way
Just a bit
But enough to make a path.

I could ask the winds and see if they could escort you without me
If that would be more comfortable??

And that, at least, gave her a reason to at least respond in a somewhat unsteady voice.]
The fog is...rather thick. I've seen nothing like it before, ever. Stay indoors, I've already seen one woman driven mad by it's touch.
[And there's a muttered grumble following it, something that might include "bullshit" but he keeps it quiet enough that it's obviously not meant for her. The damage these people have put the planet through still angers him, especially now after hearing from Verdana herself exactly what was done to her.]
[She recovers from the momentary start, at least, that odd manic moment passing just as suddenly as it came. Now back to the calm, cool, scholar's mask.]

Well, it's a good idea Verdana told you to stay there. It's been rather... hectic, around here.
[She already had her own close call with the fog. Luckily, Sephiroth got her out of there in time. But ugh, she hated staying indoors.]
Sorry, but no scissors. I'm sure there's someone out here with some, though. [She gives him a small grin.] By the way, the beard is rather fetching~.
[SHE HAS A THING FOR SCRUFFY BEARDS. Just ask Angeal, who she liked to poke whenever he forgot to shave.]
Re: [Video]
Genesis!? [And then he's grinning at her, actually sitting up and forgetting that he was supposed to be giving a blank background so no one would know where he was. Oops?] Damn, you look great.
[Wait...]
I mean, considering...
[Pay attention, Siodhachan. You're cocking it up again.]
Uh yeah, staying put definitely sounded like a good idea, even if I'm itching to get out of here. One more night isn't gonna kill me. How long can fog last? Even if it's not exactly natural fog... [Great, now he's rambling. Shit.] right?
That would be me. Thank you.
[When he stammered a little, she laughed again.]
I get it, it's fine. And no, it's not natural, but I think it won't last long. It's been three days, I think. Shouldn't last too much longer.

Judging by the delay in timestamps, I'm sure you've probably already gotten five offers for a haircut, and possibly one for a young chicken, considering the randomness of some of our shipmates, but if you still need help with the more, um, civilized facets of life here, I have a few contacts.

Oberon! [Atticus laughs and pushes his hound away, mentally promising him that he will pick the story back up again soon. With nothing else to do telling tales has been the only way to keep themselves amused. ]
Hey, yeah I got a few offers but it’s always good to know whose good with a pair of scissors around here. No offers for chickens though, unfortunately. A nice roasted chicken sounds excellent and I’m sure he wouldn’t argue that one either. [He nodded his head in the direction he’d pushed Oberon into and off screen his hound’s ears perked up.]

I see you're not holed up entirely without a friend. What a lovely dog.
[No octave jump here, but she does seem to be peering off the edge of the screen after where Oberon's been shoved before bringing her attention back to druid rather than dog.]
I'd have to ask around to get you one, but if you do want a chicken, I'm sure I could find one. Either that or I recommend one of the smaller dinosaurs -- I'd say that they taste like ostrich rather than chicken, but they have the advantage that nobody's trying to keep them for eggs.
