[Video] Week 34 - Friday Evening
So about this fog...
[Hey guys, there's a redhead on your network looking magnificently scruffy. That is full Irish beard right there. Actually... that's way more than a week's growth for those of you that knew he was leaving. He's currently sprawled out on the stone floor of his cavern hideaway, holding his arm up so the video's looking down on him.]
I was hoping to make it back into town today but apparently Verdana had other ideas. [And there's a knowing smirk that comes with that because he at least has spent most of the last weeks (as far as he knows) talking to her.]
So, I don't know when I'm going to be able to get back but... [His free hand comes up to thread through his shaggy crimson curls.] Anyone out there good with a pair of scissors?
[Private to Lyall]
As soon as this damn fog clears we need to go hunting... Oberon is bored out of his mind and we both need to stretch our legs. You in?

[Audio]
Good evening. I think it's evening. I can hit wolf form, anyway, so it must be evening.
Pardon. As soon as this bloody fog clears, a hunt would be quite nice. It will be nicer when I can see straight and don't keep chasing imaginary scents. Managed to get myself mucked up lost. Very clever, I know.
[He does sound a little out of it, and rather more emotive than their last conversations.]
[Audio - private]
Lost around here is pretty damned dangerous... [There's a moment where he's eyeing Oberon, trying to gauge if it would be safe to leave him here alone.]
If you're not... entirely with it I don't know that I'll be of much help. In my owl form I could fly above it, try to lead you back into town but...
[But if the werewolf is running around chasing phantom scents then how good is he going to be at following an owl? Probably not very. And Atticus is really not too keen on seeing if his healing charm can regulate this stuff. It doesn't work on poisons or other substances so there's a good chance it won't work on this either.
[Audio - private]
There is a soft snort as Lyall invisibly waves the concern off, and then a little cough. The more toxic properties of the stuff only affect him briefly. But it still does tickle the lungs a bit.]
Thank you, but I'll make do. Werewolves are note-- notoriously difficult to off, really. And I am attempting not to charge straight at anything that might be an angry raptor or one of those sharp-toothed felines.
[He's managed not to get into many scrapes thus far, anyway.]
[Audio - private]
That's definitely a good plan. Don't go getting yourself in trouble before we get to have our hunt, okay?
[He tries to make it a little light-hearted but there's a bit too much weight for that.]
You're sure you'll be alright? [Maybe a little worried, just maybe.]
[Audio - private]
[He has enough self-awareness to look vaguely embarrassed.]
I'll be fine. The concern is app-- appric-- blast, I can't even talk straight. This is terribly embarrassing. I probably ought not have answered. I don't suppose you'll do the favor of forgetting I'm making an idiot of myself?
[Audio - private]
A Druid never forgets. [A chuckle that he’s obviously trying to stifle.] But I can pretend for your sake.
[Audio - private]
[He huffs a sigh, one that might be part chuckle of his own.]
Well, perhaps with some luck I'll have forgotten this whole inci-- insa-- this whole bloody ordeal by then, myself... this is probably the closest to drunk I've been since the seventeenth century, but I seem to rec-- recall that there's forgetfulness involved in that.
[There's a pause, as he realizes:]
Though in that case, you may have to remind me about the hunt.
[Audio - private]
Don’t worry, I’ll remind you… good luck with forgetting though.
no subject
[And Atticus might be surprised. Lyall has no real compunctions against sharing his age. Unlike some, like those prissy vampires.... But he does end on a slightly less sarcastic note, saying before disconnecting:]
I'll see if I can't catch you something, anyway. Good day, Atticus.
[Of course, that's a little bit strange to say, but he's a little confused. Forgive him.]
