So. Is anyone else seriously questioning their new timeline counterpart's judgement?

[He looks vaguely amused, but a little sympathetic.]

I am, as well. Though given their rather more friendly disposition this time, I suppose I'm not really that surprised.

Just about everything is different. Starting with the missing dome. The friendly Authorities are pretty kriffed up too though.

I'm doing their paperwork, so at least you have the more exciting job. I do get to play bloodhound now and then, apparently, at least, but nothing more than that.

There has to be a perfect possible future out there. One without decontamination and quarantines. Right?

[Bruce vaguely remembers speaking to Wes before] I haven't found out much about this timeline's version of me, to be honest, but I've been unconscious for the past two and a half months so that might have something to do with it.

If it's possible to get so drunk you go back in time, I think affecting decisions in alternate timelines is entirely possible.

Usually I've spent enough time drinking to know what I'm doing. Party got pretty wild though. I can't rule out interdimensional intoxication.

Well, the locals seem to be a bit better off at any rate. Of course, some people are probably worse off. Just the way it goes.

I'm still not entirely convinced "so drunk we went back in time" didn't explain everything.

Hrm... it might have done, had I actually been drunk at the time. Alas, I was up before dawn to check rabbit snares just outside of the Old City when things turned inside-out.

I suppose not. I didn't get that excuse-- though I didn't really think about it, either. Getting into the paperwork and sniffing around the office means getting more answers, at least.
