While I'm aware that english, or at least a variation on it, is the language most used here I'm curious what other ones people know or are more comfortable with at the very least. I'm familiar with quite a few so if there's one you'd prefer speaking in I'm more than willing to oblige.

A language barrier shouldn't be a reason for us to be unable to work together and if anyone wishes to learn a language I'm more than willing to teach.

I'm also wondering if anyone skilled with a sword could use a sparring partner, I seem to be short one.

People from the future make you do dumb things, 'cus you think that them existing means it'll all be okay, and people in the past, you gotta let be, or you break everything. Yeesh.

Technically people from the future aren't supposed to interfere with the past anyway, pure observation.

Wouldn't opt in, trust me. But when the baddies are digging around, stopping them is worth the trouble. We had a thing this one time, went back to the Wild West, ended up breaking all the stuff that a certain Rotzi scumbag built there. So I guess we equaled out.

Eh, Nazi. It's just an easy dig. Drives the fifth column types crazy. Bad guys outta Germany, really into jackboots an' authoritarianism, not so much into democracy an' justice. Some of whom are real fond of mixin' science an' dark magic. Bad news.

Germany has been about as peaceful as the rest of europe, though... I'm guessing that changes at some point then.

[Pity, he likes Germany for the most part. Lots of forests.]

Science is mostly magic that's been explained in ways that the culture understands better, and it's... more how it's used that is good or bad than it's inherent nature.

I guess that's one way to look at it, but with the mess Von Schlitz has made of things, my usual reaction to magic is to figure out how I make it stop happening. I drop-kicked a demon through a half-formed portal to hell one time! That was fun.

You'll have a hard time stopping me I think, I've been around the block a few times so to speak.

I'm one of the not-bad guys though, for what it's worth.

Oh, I'm not across the board against magic. The Stranger is one of our best allies, and we even sometimes managed to be civil to the Council of Mages. Heck, some of the Danger Federation kids do magic, I think. It's just gonna be a long time before studyin' it all nice-like really gets to be an option again.

That's reassuring anyway.

These things take time, people need time to heal over societal wounds.

That's one way to put it. At least most of their favorite toys aren't nice things. I'd have a problem with it if it turned out they were real into pastrami on rye, but there's not much I could do about it, yah know?

More sure than me, buddy. It's a war. I made calls I ain't proud of, failed to protect folks who should of been able to depend on me... Nah, I just give myself the "did my best" pass.

I've been there myself, more than once and... sometimes the best you can say is that you survived.

Define losing? We've left a lotta good people behind over the years, everyone from legends down to ordinary people just tryin' to help how they could. Still bein' alive doesn't put me out ahead of them.

Yeah, them. I don't know that they'd appreciate hearin' all about how they don't get full honors just for not makin' it as long as the rest. As the lady cleanin' up a whole bunch of ancient messes, I at least admire their gumption, up to evil incarnate and stuff.
