Hello. I hope everyone has been well and able to acclimate to all the changes upon our return to this point in time. I seem to have gotten my bearings now...though it was a little difficult, especially in light of the fact someone was apparently making decisions for me in this other version of the present.

However, there is something I'm looking into. Right now my home is still at the Flop, but I'm no longer...comfortable, staying there for the indeterminate future. It isn't the same as it was before, and I'm getting the sense I might have worn out my welcome.

I was wondering if anyone I've already made acquaintance with would be willing to let me move in, if they have the room for it. I can help pay for lodging; I have steady employment here. Not much money, but enough.

That must be difficult for you. Not to mention inconvenient. I'm sorry to hear that. [She doesn't have hardly anyone from her own time or place, herself, but at least Belle remembers her.

Also a good thought. The Authorities may appear less of a threat in this version of the world, but I would be wary of completely letting our guards down.

It's trying. But that they're here at all -- I feel bad saying it, but it helps me.

Yes. Not to mention that we have very little reliable intel on what else is out there. I doubt the Authorities are eager to share information like that even in this timeline.

My position with the Sheriff's office is, as of right now, a very little one with minimal authority or trust. But it looks as if there's possibility for me to move up in the ranks, in which case I just might be able to learn a thing or two along the lines of which you speak. I remain optimistic.

To cope. I -- honestly don't think we're ever going home. Not any of us. This is life, now, reality-warping aside.

[She's quiet for a moment, after that, pensive, before she is able to respond.] I can't say the thought hasn't occurred to me, by now. And in truth...it would probably be easier for me, than others; I honestly don't have much of anything to go back to. Still. Easy to accept or not, it is difficult and strange to even think...that all paths to us are closed, and we are stuck here.

I think... I don't have that much experience with these things, but I have more than most. I think that [Wanda stumbles over her words for once, trying to figure out how to explain her theories on interdimensional travel.] we could go elsewhere. Any number of new places, new worlds, if we could master the ship and its technology.

But that doesn't mean we could go home.

What would be the point, then? If not back to the worlds we started from, then why would we want to go elsewhere? There's hardly any guarantee that these places would be any better.

That's about my line of thinking.
