[What begins as merely trying to catch a meteor on record for his own personal interest and for various friends rather quickly became something else entirely. And Lyall spent a few minutes afterwards figuring out how to upload what he caught on his device onto the network.
So everyone gets a nice video of the second two thirds of that falling object's trajectory, and a couple seconds of the beginnings of a warm glow on the horizon. Then they get Lyall coming on the screen right after. He's out in the more local woods, dressed only in his coat, and looking a little bit rumpled, for once. His voice, however, is a bit deadpan as he speaks to the practical and pointedly doesn't mention the bit about the thing from space.]
I believe there may be a fire starting in the western forest. If there are still Authorities monitoring this channel, someone may wish to be dispatched to contain it, unless there isn't much risk of it spreading too far.

[And Lyall sounds approving about it, too. Here, Loki, have an older gentleman who thinks, despite your lack of an introduction, that you're apparently doing the right thing anyway. Even if the organization may or may not go through, since y'know, teenager.]

I suspect there'll be at least some general interest for such an event, but at least I can arrange for Thor.

[Well, he knows who it is, given he knows the name of Thor's brother, but he's a proper gentleman. He wants to be introduced, even if Loki is forced to do it himself.]

[He still hasn't decided what ought to be done with his patronymic, but he figures an outsider won't notice.]
Thank you.

[Someone else probably will, too, but he's curious of Loki here will, anyway.]

[Why would he ever miss a chance to be pedantic?]

Whatever you can manage will be fine, I'm sure. I'd best be heading back to the city, if I want to get there before dawn. I'm sure I'll see you about, Loki.

Good night, then, Loki.
[He tips his head, in place of his missing hat, then disconnects so he can see about getting changed back to wolf form for the run home.]
