[ for those of you who can see him, Akito looks a little worse than wear - tired, and covered in scratches; clothes smudged with dirt, and the odd leaf or twig caught in folds. there's one particular scratch across his face that looks like it might have been nasty, but has healed up for the most part.

despite all of this he has a broad smile on his face, and is shielding one hand with the other very carefully. ]

I was playing in the woods and found a poodle moth! See?

[ he uncovers his hand to show the ridiculously fluffy moth sitting on his palm. it doesn't seem the least bit perturbed by its current location, and even begins grooming its face.

for those of you who can't see Akito, or believe in spirits in general, you'll just see a fluffy moth appearing out of nowhere, sitting on an invisible perch. ]

It was hard to catch

And does anyone know how to tell when a dream is a memory
As opposed to just a dream?

What exactly do you mean about the dreams?

Ah... Like sometimes when you have dreams and you remember them, they make no sense, ne? But then sometimes there are dreams that are logical, and could be something real..?

Yes, I know what you mean. Sometimes our memories come back to us through dreams. What did you dream about, if you don't mind me asking?

[ he seems hesitant to share with her, but gives in after a moment. ]

I was in a cage.

A cage?

[ That's awfully vague and not much to go off of. ]

Did it seem familiar at all?

[akito]

I've had the dream before, if that's what you mean.

Otherwise, in the context of the dream, it felt like it was normal.

I more meant if it seemed like something that had happened outside of the dream.

Do you remember your life before? [ Jack was the first person she had experienced who didn't but she figures it's a possibility Akito was the same. ]

I used to, in the beginning. At least I think I did... I know my name was Akito, and I was seventeen, lived in Tokyo, and loved the sky.

Is that all you can remember? There's nothing else of your prior life?

[ he nods. ]

I think I might have had a twin, but I'm not sure.

[ A twin? ]

Akito, if you wouldn't mind, I'd like to look at your teeth someday. Maybe I can recover some of your memories.

[akito]

My teeth? They're all still in my mouth though.

That's alright! My powers still work if the teeth are attached, it's just a bit more uncomfortable for the other party.

I don't know if it's a good idea...

If you don't want to remember, no. If that's the case, I'll gladly let you be.

Ah... Well... There has to be a good reason why I don't remember, ne?

There could be. It's possible your memories are repressed...

[ Though that only happens in cases of extreme trauma and that isn't pleasant to think about. ]

..Would MiM or Mama Seraphina have repressed them for me? Or is that something that would happen more naturally?

It could be either, truthfully! If I had to guess, I'd say it was natural but, there again, the Tsar is very secretive and I haven't talked to Mother Nature in quite a long time.

[ he pauses for a few moments before responding. ]

Ne, can I tell you a secret?

Of course you can!

I only call her Mama Sera behind her back because it makes her seem less scary.

[ She tries not to laugh. She does. However, a small one escapes. ]

Yes, Mother Nature is quite the intimidating force.

You're lucky you're not one of Hers.

Is it really so bad?

It's not bad - just really scary. Have you heard any of the stories of what she's done to minor spirits who disobey her? [ audible shudder ]

Nature can be equally kind and cruel, so Mama Seraphina is the same.
