[Lyall's showing his face again, this morning, before he heads off back to the Old City for the work-week. The background is the common room of the Flop, just inside. He clears his throat, almost as if he isn't entirely sure how to begin, but he manages well enough.]

I was thinking that some of us have lost track of our numbers. We keep appearing and disappearing, returning to pods or vanishing off on adventures. I was hoping that perhaps we could get a headcount.

[He holds up a clipboard.]

Or rather, I could, and I'd share it with the network as a whole, since I'm doing the work as it is. In a more electronic form, I assure you, this--

[He taps the clipboard, then sets it down again.]

--is just for myself. I am a bit old-fashioned still, I fear. If everyone still about could check in, I would appreciate it. I'm in the lobby of the Flop, if anyone would prefer to come calling rather than speak here. I'll be here until sundown, though I may be back after a day or two, as well.

I suppose whatever life we have here is what we make of it. Though I still have hope that we can return home, as well.

Really. I have had to accustom myself to quite a lot, here, but I feel I have settled in well enough.

It might be an easier one, however. Still, it does not seem entirely impossible to learn about it. There have been strides made already-- there had been a point where we were concerned whether the ship's power would hold out to support those still sleeping on it.

Technically, on Earth, it is theorized to be connected to the moon affecting the aether and the werewolf's limited bond to that. As I have no means of measuring aether, here, I cannot even make an educated guess. It must be here, or I would not be able to change at all, but its consistency and effects I cannot say with certainty. Apparently the planet does have some pull, as well.

I have. If one counts the time I spent in the past, I have been on Verdana about a year now. Without that time, closer to nine months.

[That's a pretty damn long time for most people, though Lyall would have said (a year ago) that it was just an eyeblink. It had seemed a lot longer without a pack.]

[Lyall has a smile for her. They were both stuck in the same time, after all, so while they may not exactly be friends, he does consider her an ally and compatriot of sorts.]

It is indeed good to see you. I'll mark you down, of course.

I do better here than I did in London, in some ways. They actually have the means to confine a werewolf without silver, and though I do still miss my pack, I am not left without work to keep me busy.

Thank you. I get along, at least, and the engineers only confuse me about half the time now, instead of the entirety of it.
