Anyone else interested in going on a little trip? I'm planning on visiting Ceres to see what's going on--you know, if people really are sprouting tails and dissolving.

Preferably someone who can operate something called a 'vehicle', as Dr. Solus informs me that walking to Ceres is not preferable.

I certainly couldn't speak to the skills of the chaperone, but yes, I think I would like to. I think I would like to see more of this place, if I'm to be stuck here.

Your assistance is appreciated. May I ask what interest you have in Ceres besides sight seeing? This trip may be a tad dangerous. We don't know what we'll find there.

The stamina of Companions is unmatched. She'll survive.

I only just arrived, and most of my...particular skillset is utterly useless, unless there's dire need of a politician. I'd like to see if there is something else I can turn my attention to.

Well, I always thought so. You're really telling me that back where you're from, you ask people do do things and they do them?

Yes. That's how it is in Valdemar. That isn't to say we are without our intrigues, but the Heralds, at least, are incorruptible and always have the good of people at heart. And I am one of them.

Heralds? Those are politicians like you? You're really telling me that you do what's best for the people. And you don't lie about it. Or lock people up because they use magic?

Not all of them, no. Heralds are the eyes, ears, and hands of the Queen. They do what she needs to be done in the Kingdom. All of them--including the Queen--only have what's best for others at heart. The Companions make that true, and each Monarch is required to be a Herald as well. Even the Monarch isn't above the law in Valdemar.

And no, we don't lock anyone up for what they were born as--only what they chose to be. If you choose a path of evil, then you brought it upon yourself and are left to the mercy of Lord and Lady.
