[After she'd gotten herself out of that stasis pod and dressed, holstered, and strapped up, Kerra Holt took a moment to have a look around. This was definitely not where she'd intended to wind up when she'd made that last jump. Hell, where was this? And...what freak had shoved her into a tube naked?

Of course, when Kerra found the commlink, she was definitely going to poke at it. And set off the video thing accidentally.]

Oh. OH! Hey. Video? That's...different.

[Not Sith-tech, unless it was from Calimondra. No way any of the others had that sort of thing. Or Republic make? Or...the Hutts. Either way, it was broadcasting.

Kriff. Broadcasting. That wasn't good. People could see her face. Well...time to put on a smile and ask some questions then, Kerra.]

Right. So. If you can hear this...I guess I'm the new girl around here. And I've obviously got a few questions for anyone with the inclination to answer. Starting with where the hell am I? What system? What Quadrant, even. I don't even know if I'm in the Core Worlds or out on the Outer Rim. Last I knew I was making a Hyperspace jump and now I'm here.

[And just to be safe...but polite at the same time, may as well give the other name.]

[Kerra frowns and rattles off a year, in the pre-Empire calender. If Wes can figure it out, it'll be roughly 1032 BBY]

Kriff, that's even further off than usual. Time gets... a bit weird here.

There's been a lot, and it's kinda iffy on how much should really be told but I'll give you that one. No widespread Sith control.

Well, that's good news. Guess it means the Republic finally got themselves kicked into gear.

I...spent the last couple years behind Sith lines. Guessing that's all ancient history to you now though. But what's the harm in telling me? Not like I can do a whole lot here. With us being in the same timeline and all.

There's been a bit of debate on how this whole time thing works. Most people think it's wisest to say as little as possible.

THough most of what I can tell you would be beyond your lifetime anyway. A lot of records were destroyed.

I gotcha. I was with a semi-Intel squadron for a while, nothing nearly as long though. Good to meet you, Kerra.

Luke's off sailing with an exploration group and isn't due back for a few weeks. I'm sure he'll be eager to talk to you though. The Order has changed in the past millenium.

Figured...best not to go blabbing I'm a Jedi till I knew a bit more. But I'm not feeling Sith. Just...a few strong presences, way off.

Heh, and I'd hope the Order's changed in the last thousand years or so. Hopefully enough to roust those nutjob Sith Lords from the Rim Worlds. Don't suppose you ever got a history lesson on Daimon and Odion, did you?

Most people thought the Sith had been gone for centuries. There was a flare up a few decades ago but... now they're really gone.

Completely? How the hell?

[She shakes her head]

There were thousands of them. And then people thinking they're gone? What about that old saying 'Evil Never Truly Dies'? People forget that?

Whatever put a stop to all of that left them lurking in the shadows. They made their presence known in a big way right around when I was born. Busy few decades.

I'll start with the obvious question: Where can I get something to eat that isn't a ration bar?

There's communal housing in the middle of town called the Flop. Nothing fancy, but it's a place to sleep and eat.

The Flop? Sounds...snazzy.

A lot of the town is in pretty rough shape. Some of the people who have been here longer have found other arrangements, but the Flop gets the job done.
