[As per usual, though you can't see Jack will be getting a video of nothing other than the scenery outside of Poseidon, those you can, will see him, of course! Text below follows soon after, even if he does want to say something but this wasn't really for the people who already knew him.]

Probably should have expected all the new faces but I really didn't. New timeline, new faces, gotta keep remembering that. In any case, I'm numero tres on the Spirit That Needs to be Believed In list. I'm Jack Frost.

[A pause in the typing...]

Yes, that Jack Frost. No, my parents weren't being weird or anything. The name I had before I became Jack Frost doesn't have much in common other than my first name. I know I'm not as popular as Tooth or North... er, Santa to you guys. But I really do exist and contrary to what some people say, no I'm not an invisible mutant kid with ice powers. I don't have the X-Gene, nor does it actually occur on my version of Earth. I'm just your common nature spirit that happens to be the one bringing Winter to you guys and working double time lately because of global warming.

But I doubt you want to hear me rant about that. If anything else, I would really appreciate it if you guys put aside your disbelief and actually believe in Tooth, Akito, and I. I know it seems simple, since I am here typing this all out but it's not as simple as you think. You really have to truly believe I'm Jack Frost, I'm the Spirit of Winter who nips at your nose. Tooth is the Tooth Fairy who leaves behind goodies after taking the tooth/teeth you left under your pillow, and Akito is a Wind Spirit, responsible for keeping the winds in check. It really shouldn't be that hard but some of you guys are surprisingly stubborn than most adults.

And adults are unknown territory. Especially for me. I usually deal with kids, after all. Guardian of Fun and responsible for all those awesome snow days that have been existing for a few hundred years now, thank you very much. But seriously, just bear with me. I'm not... used to trying to make adults believe in me. Since you got all that science and logic getting in the way of actually seeing what's, literally, right in front of you.

So a millennia-old spirit is an expert on genetics, now? [Wanda has no problem believing in magic, or spirits, or Jack Frost himself. She does have a HUGE problem with people claiming there's no such thing as an X-Gene in their world, though.] Can you even hold a book to read? Have you ever even managed to convince a geneticist that you existed for long enough to hold a conversation with them? Who do you think you ARE to make a claim like that?

[Well, Jack found someone who can believe in him. He also struck one heckuva nerve.]

[He would correct her that he's actually not that old, but it's semantics at this point. Instead, he looks annoyed.]

Yes, I can hold a book to read. I'm intangible to solid objects. Just people who don't believe in me. And if I managed to get a geneticist to believe in me, I would probably have an easier time convincing the adults in this place I exist and I wouldn't need to make this sort of memo.

[He frowns, brows furrowing.]

What claim are you talking about? What does this have to do with- oh.

You mean the X-Gene? Well, who are you to claim that it does exist on my world? Hell, I don't exist on other Earths, so what's it to you that it doesn't exist on mine? It's not a claim. Unless my world is super late to the party and all the mutants, and I mean every single one, is that good at hiding it, people would have, at the very least, heard of it by now.

I may play around with kids a lot, but they're also the most talkative bunch when the older kids and adults aren't on the internet.

Of COURSE it's not common knowledge. It's hidden. It HAS to be, for their protection. What do you think people in my world did to the first mutant to manifest his powers? They killed him. And the second. And the four millionth. And they still are, and it would be worse if not for my father's work. We've remained hidden throughout all of history for our safety.

What your ignorance is to me is the enabling of the slaughter of my people on your world and mine. [Taaaaake a chill pill, Wanda.] Your world has no stories of vampires, or werewolves, of hobgoblins or witches or fire spirits or trolls or conjurers any of the hundreds of things we've been mistaken for over the years?

Except us spirits would have probably noticed by now that there are humans out there developing powers. And from what Kurt has told me, mutants aren't exactly hidden anymore. People hide their powers to fit in, sure, but the knowledge of mutants isn't.

[Seriously, Wanda, Jack has some chill pills if you want.]

I'm not enabling anything. They simply do not exist on my world. Those stories of werewolves and vampires and such are stories to humans but are very real to us on the magical side. I am a story to them. No, let me rephrase, I'm a line from a song to them. I'm invisible and intangible to them and so it's pretty easy for me to go around undetected. I bring Winter to everyone on Earth at the right time, so I see a lot of things and a lot of people.

I'm sorry but mutants just don't exist on my world. I get you're proud of who and what you are, but that doesn't mean that your people exists in every reality of Earth and it doesn't mean you get to accuse me of wanting mutants to be slaughtered.

[She frowns, crosses her arms with a little 'harumph,' and sticks up her chin.] I never accused you of wanting it. I'm sure you don't. But not wanting something isn't the same as preventing it, or even as not encouraging it.

Which isn't to say I don't believe you. But I think...

Have you had your DNA tested? [Her voice is much softer now, just a naive twenty seven year old in place of the haughty dictator's daughter.] Can you even? I'm not claiming anything at this point. But it might help Doctor Solus in his research. I think some worlds it manifested much more specifically than in mine. Huge numbers of people with the same powers, instead of the diversity from ours.

A spirit who used to be a baseline human might make an interesting comparison for him. Help unravel all of it.

I can't prevent what isn't there, though.

[He looks a little uncomfortable at the prospect]

No, not really. Most other nature spirits don't like me and the other Guardians aren't scientists. I mean, I think Bunny technically counts but testing my DNA wouldn't prove much to anyone and-

[he paused, giving her a wary look.]

How did you know I used to be human?

[He remembers mentioning his parents and having a different name, but nothing about being human. After all, spirits could take up names and had families as well. There was a reason there had been more than one Jack Frost, after all, and he doubted every one of them died in a frozen lake.]

You mentioned -- or implied, anyway -- that you ascended to the role. That you weren't always Jack Frost. [Wanda frowns. She didn't know, but she's wondering why Jack seems worried about it.] Since you look human and you're obviously not a mutant, I just assumed... you know, that you kept your old form.

[Also she tends to lump people she's yelling at about being racist under 'humans,' but she'd never admit that to herself, much less out loud.] It's not entirely... I am a Witch, you know. I have a bit of experience with these things.

Oh. [Well, that makes sense. He's not actually worried, he just doesn't really want to tell the how part of his becoming Jack Frost.] Well, you are correct. I just didn't expect someone to catch on, I guess.

Didn't know you were a Witch though. But didn't you say you were a mutant...?

[Witches, to him, are a whole other thing.]

I'm the Scarlet Witch. And yes, I am a mutant. The energy I control isn't magic as most people here think of it. It's actually sort of an anti-magic. It can interfere with, disrupt and possibly even reshape magic. [She's only really tested the first two, and even then not much compared to the amount of different power manifestations she's seen here.] Along with most other kinds of energy.

My job description required me to be aware of the basics of magics back home, just in case Genosha ever came under threat from sorcery. I was one of our few defenses.

[Well. That's something he's never heard before.]

It's a mutant safehaven. It's where I grew up.
