[Mordin is sitting at his desk, with a variety of objects including slender fruit. For anyone familiar with reading salarian faces, he looks quite serious.]

Need for contraceptive review has become apparent. Several local options currently available. Significant improvement over previous situation.

[He holds up a packet]

Hormonal regulation now viable. Highly effective but not suited to short term encounters.

[And thus the condom and the fruit come out]

Barrier methods superior for casual contact. Prevent disease in addition to pregnancy. Can review proper application as needed.

Expect all to take reasonable precautions. Also have pamphlets available. Do not wish to hear of rhythm or withdrawal.

[Mulan's voice is muffled and part of her face is hidden behind the regulation gas mask she was issued at work, but for those that would recognize them her eyes and hair are still clearly visible. Likewise, the familiar armor that covers her upper body.]

For those of you that are more recent arrivals - I'm aware there are a few of you - it is to be advised you avoid coming into contact with the strange mists that have been filling the area the past couple of days. Breathing in this air can cause you to experience unpredictable and dangerous effects. [Her muffled voice turns even more grim and her eyes flash darkly as she recalls her own personal encounter with the fog's abilities, and she hurries on past giving herself time to reflect.] Though not everyone reacts the same, it can dangerous to your health for a multitude of reasons. The best course of action would be to remain indoors if you can, and avoid them completely.

If there are any small errands or tasks that would otherwise bring you out, I would be willing to undertake them for you. Obviously I can't get to everyone, but I'd like to help if I can, as much as possible.

The good news is that if I'm reading the signs right, there seems to be a storm brewing for later today. Hopefully it will be enough to blow all of this accursed fog away, so we can all breathe safely once more.

[The video that pops up shows a pair of pair of men, both heavily muscled and with ridiculous hair. The taller of the two is dressed in an orange martial arts uniform, while the shorter is cutting a bold image in blue-green leather pants and sleevless leather jacket, with a red undershirt. And neither of them appear to be anywhere near the ground, the ship clearly visible underneath them, a faint thrumming of energy audible through the network. The taller was looking around in confusion and interest, while his partner seems a bit more disdainful and irritated at their predicament. Obviously, they're newcomers to Verdana, if the dialogue is any indication.]

Hey, look...I can see a whole city down there, but this entire planet just feels weird somehow. What do you think, Vegeta? Can you feel it too? And look! [He points towards what could presumably be the remains of the Hyperion Dome in the distance]

Well, Kakarot, it's good to see that you're still ever the observant one around here. [He'd seen the city as soon as they'd gotten into the air. It was hard to miss. Turning, his eyes follow the direction of Goku's hand, eyebrows furrowing at the sight.] What is that?

I dunno, Vegeta. Looks like...maybe some kinda ruin, but I don't like the look of it one bit. Or the feel of the place, either. It feels...dead... [He wrinkles his nose up] Man, where the hell are we anyway? Weird cities and that ruin...

Well, why don't we just toss you right in and find out? Sounds like a perfect plan to me, wouldn't you say? [His eyes roll, not surprised by the reaction from his dim-witted friend.] How am I supposed to know where we are or how we got here? If anything, you screwed something up yet again and landed us here!

Uh...[Goku turns to regard Vegeta with a look of annoyance, and as he's about to say something stunningly witty like 'nuh-uh, it's all your fault' he sees something else] Y'know, that scouter you found? It's blinking, like they do when they're broadcasting.

What do you mean it's blinking? Blinking where? They don't blink you idiot, information is displayed on the glass when you activate it. Watch. [He presses the button, turning the video off, and after a few moments, flips it on again unknowingly, confused as to why the functions of the scouter aren't working the way he remembered them.] What's wrong with this blasted thing? It's broken, great, just like your brain. Argh, it doesn't matter, we don't need to use them anyhow.

Yeah, well, it's blinking. So...guess we should say hi to whoever's watching? [Goku waves at the camera, and then approximates a traditional Japanese bow, which hopefully makes whoever's watching see him as polite. Because if he wasn't, he's pretty sure he'd get yelled at by somebody...] eh-eheheheh, Hey there. Could you please tell us where we are?

Shut up, no one's going to hear you. It's a scouter, not a camera. Besides, you don't even know who's on this planet anyway! They might be a bunch of blood-sucking savages that know nothing else but the flesh of other beings! How would you like to be the next meal on the menu? [Not that Vegeta thinks anything is capable of cooking them up for dinner, but he's just trying to make a point.] Go ahead, announce to everyone that we're here! That's a great idea!

[Goku rolls his eyes now and shakes his head.] Well, let's just wait and see then.

Fine. Have it your way.

(ooc: This is a joint intro for both Goku and Vegeta, responses are likely to come from both and threadjacks/actions are welcome too.  Blue text is Vegeta, Orange is Goku)
