This is Commander Shepard of the Normandy SR2.

[But enough of the meet-and-greet.]

I need a couple of favors.

I need food and water, I need a sitrep, I need a runner who wouldn't mind spending a few hours on the ship, and-...

[One sec, she's switching to video, and aiming it at what appears to be a moderate-sized triceratops, enclosed in a rather large blue dome (no, not the same kind of dome as the one on the horizon, keep your pants on).]

I need to know what the hell this thing eats. Bonus points if you'll supply it.

[The video turns off, and there's a pause. Does she need anything else? Nothing's coming to mind, so:]

I can pay you in weapons and ammo, or we can figure out something else.

[Another pause--she's done with that. Then, as a brief afternote:]

Kaidan, Liara, are you busy?

Triceratops are herbivores. As I recall, its preferred food were - are - palms, cycads, ferns - tough, low plants.

I ought to be able to do some foraging.

[Jocelyn looks strained, but her gaze is as sharp as ever.]

What's the animal's mental state? I should be able to calm it, if that's an issue.

[No, she's not bothering to be secretive any longer; she's displayed her abilities quite enough now.]

Just shoring up a doorway for one of the local families, but I can get free after that.

Also, nice triceratops. They're herbivores, that I recall -- feed it like you'd feed a really big cow or a goat or something? Or--- I don't know. Didn't birds descend from dinosaurs?

Is there a place where one can remove the carcasses to?

[Because he figures that's what he can do to help.]

I'm assisting with the reconstruction where I can, but I am able to take an assignment, Commander.

[And so the fire bug speaks. He'd been keeping it on the very very down low since the fire. For lack of a better word, you could say it was out of embarrassment.]

I don't mind making a run back to the ship; I'd been hoping to get back there at some point to poke around some more, anyway.

You're keeping one as a pet.

[Really, Shepard? Really? ... Just ignore that he's focusing on that part, okay. Snooping around on the other feeds means he doesn't need to bring up the rest.]
