The Spring Equinox is coming up
And the city is getting ready for preparations


I am turning 100 years old this Equinox
Which is an important birthday
At least for spirits
I think

I don't know much about birthday celebrations
And the city looks like it will be having its own big party (???)
So I was wondering if anyone would like to
Hang out with me during the equinox?
For a little while maybe
If it is not too much trouble!!

There was no reason for a spirit like me until more recently. Climate change wasn't so bad until the most recent century, ne?

Ah, and it would be an honour to spend some time with Miss Tooth on the equinox!

You think so? I can't promise I'm the best company.

[ It had been so long since she'd been addressed by her formal titles that... she nearly forgot what it felt like! The other Guardians had, of course, given her every ounce of respect she deserved when she first joined their ranks. However, centuries turned respect into kinship and as a result they became more casual around each other. North called her "Toothy" just as he called Sanderson "Sandy" and Bunnymund just "Bunny." The affectionate nicknames from the Cossack had stuck and it never felt informal; it was friendly. ]

I am all of those things, you're correct. And it makes me happy that you think so highly of me. But know that, like I said, you are important in your own way as a spirit. I don't think you are "lowly" in any sense of the word.

Until I can control my abilities and do the task I was assigned to do to the best of my abilities, I will be considered a lowly spirit. But it is nice to know that Miss Tooth thinks differently!
