The Spring Equinox is coming up
And the city is getting ready for preparations


I am turning 100 years old this Equinox
Which is an important birthday
At least for spirits
I think

I don't know much about birthday celebrations
And the city looks like it will be having its own big party (???)
So I was wondering if anyone would like to
Hang out with me during the equinox?
For a little while maybe
If it is not too much trouble!!

Alban Eiler [Atticus corrects him because if the spirit has done his research accurately then he knows he'd want to say it accurately. Not trying to be rude, just helpful.]

If you want to have people over for your birthday then you should definitely have a party. What kind of party is the big question though. [Though somehow he thinks that Akito is the type to have a small private type gathering.] Maybe we can set up a picnic table somewhere and just...hang out and tell stories, eat good food. Story-telling is kind of a tradition for the spring equinox in a lot of cultures.

A picnic? That sounds good..! [ he's seen people have them many times, but hasn't had one himself before. unless having one on your own and playing pretend counts. ] What kind of food is good food? I've only ever eaten the stuff people throw out.

Thrown out!? What do you mean thrown out?! Akito if you tell me spirits go dumpster diving where you're from I- [He's too flabbergasted to even come up with a repercussion.]

A-Ah... I only did if I was in an area where I couldn't scavenge for nuts and berries. [ and worms and bugs. but he decides not to add that in since he's pretty sure humans don't usually eat those either. ]

Most of the other spirits have homes and access to fresh ingredients, or they don't need to eat at all and so don't bother.

[Hey he lived in Africa for two centuries. Worms and bugs aren't that weird to him, honestly. Okay worms maybe but bugs weren't that unusual.]

Don't bother? [Sorry Akito this is just boggling his mind. Come on, even Flidais had a thing for smoothies.]

Food is the best part of living forever though. [That's not whining. He's a Druid. Druids don't whine. Oberon shut up, stop laughing at him.] I mean I get the whole... wind spirit, not the type to be tethered to one place and all but... gods below, kid you are missing out on the best parts of life!

I steal ice cream sometimes. [ he admits it reluctantly, because he dislikes stealing in general, but ice cream is so yummy sometimes he just couldn't help it. q_q ] If I had to pick a favourite thing to eat, it would be ice cream, I think. Or strawberries.

I thought that love and sex were supposed to be the best parts of life though.
